A globally recognized pioneer with over 35 years of experience, he has been instrumental in professionalizing the industry through leadership roles at BSI, Global FM, and the British Institute of Facilities Management.
He co-founded Key Facilities Management with his wife, Valerie Mitchell. His interests include organizations focused on economic development and global trends, such as Scottish Enterprise and the World Economic Forum. People who have worked with him describe his leadership as solid and imaginative.
