Talmage Egan is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Utah, holding the K. C. Wong Presidential Endowed Chair. An internationally recognized pioneer in total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), his research focuses on the clinical pharmacology of anesthetics and opioids, computer-controlled drug delivery, and patient safety.
