Tony Bowron is the CEO and a Coastal Wetland Ecologist at CBWES Inc., a habitat restoration and environmental research firm he co-founded. An internationally recognized practitioner, he has been restoring coastal habitats in Atlantic Canada since 1998. He holds a Masters from Dalhousie University and is an adjunct professor at Saint Marys University.

He is the co-founder of the TransCoastal Adaptations: Centre for Nature-Based Solutions, which aims to build climate-resilient coastal communities. He has also co-founded Atlantic Canadas first salt-tolerant plant nursery, Rising Tide Nursery, to supply native plants for restoration projects.

He is a two-time recipient of the Gulf of Maine Visionary Award for his commitment to protecting the marine environment.
