Originally from Brisbane, Tony has a lifelong passion for the water. His love for sailing led him to become an International Yacht Master and a member of the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. He grew up sailing and once aspired to join the Australian Olympic sailing team.
On its first day of official operations, Tony was the sole employee of Marine Rescue Queensland.
