Vladyslav Klochkov is a distinguished Major General (ret. ) with over 26 years of service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He combined combat leadership, commanding the 93rd Mechanized Brigade, with pioneering work in military psychology. He holds PhDs in Public Management and Administration, and in Psychology, and now teaches at American University Kyiv.
Outside of his military and academic careers, Vladyslav is married with two daughters. He is a published author, including a monograph on psychological resilience, and has proficiency in English and basic Arabic. He emphasizes the importance of reading books and understanding history as crucial for leadership and national identity.
He architected Ukraines psychological support system, developing innovative methods for building soldiers mental resilience in real-time under fire.
