He studied Criminology at Camosun College and is recognized for being an innovative, visionary, and methodical leader. He now focuses on employee engagement and solutions development through his own firm.
Ward is deeply passionate about community advocacy and proactive safety initiatives. This is demonstrated through his founding of the "Positive Tickets" program, which rewards positive behavior in youth, and his current role as Co-Founder of an organization dedicated to supporting the families of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP).
He created the internationally recognized "Positive Tickets" program, a preventative policing model that rewards youth for good behavior instead of only punishing negative actions, significantly reducing youth-related crime.
