A Harvard graduate in Computer Science and Physics, he previously worked as an early engineer at Cresta, building real-time AI products before founding Exa to address the limitations of traditional keyword search.
Inspired by the movie "The Social Network" while at Harvard, Will switched from physics to computer science to make a broader impact. He enjoys deep research, which once led him to start writing a history book. He is also a strong advocate for workplace wellness, having installed nap pods in the office for employees.
Before founding Exa, his experience leading the Harvard Undergraduate Robotics Club included building a championship-winning, BB-shooting quadruped robot for competition.
