William Damron

William "Jay" Damron has a diverse career as the Founder of Character Sports LLC, the Tax Collector for Corbin Independent Schools, and a Mortgage Loan Officer. He leverages a background in sales and a business education from the University of the Cumberlands across his roles. He also holds a Residential Mortgage Loan Originator License.

He is a former two-sport high school athlete who played college soccer at the University of the Cumberlands. His passion for youth sports and character development was inspired by his father, who coached youth teams, and is now a central focus of his life, driven by his own daughter, Loren. He is married to Amber Damron.

Jay is actively building Character Sports into the largest multi-sport complex in Southeastern Kentucky to serve the youth of his community.
