Adam Pawis is the Chief of Shawanaga First Nation, bringing extensive experience in Indigenous governance and community development. His career includes serving as an Economic Development Officer and Head Councillor. He focuses on infrastructure projects, economic sovereignty, and advocating for treaty rights. He is a graduate of Parry Sound High School.
Adam is a lifelong resident of the Shawanaga First Nation and identifies as Anishinabek of the Eagle Clan. He is a passionate storyteller, dedicated to sharing ancestral wisdom and cultural traditions. He believes in a deep, spiritual connection to the land and water, viewing its protection as a sacred trust.
