Ahmed Bin Sulayem is the Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, a global commodities hub he has scaled from a startup in 2002 to over 24, 000 member companies. A graduate of California State University, he also chairs the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange. Colleagues recognize him for his amazing leadership, dedication, and enthusiasm.

Outside of his official roles, Ahmed is passionate about coffee, personally facilitating a Jamaican coffee brands entry into the UAE. He is known for his kindness and compassion for others. In his downtime, he enjoys surfing to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

He has been appointed Chair of the UN-mandated Kimberley Process twice (2016 and 2024), leading global efforts to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds.
