Alex Barr is a Partner and co-Head of Sarasin Bread Street, the private markets arm of Sarasin & Partners. With over 30 years in asset management, he has held leadership roles at Aberdeen, Janus Henderson, and Deutsche Asset Management. He is an alumnus of the University of Aberdeen and the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme.
Beyond his investment career, Alex is deeply committed to public service as an elected Alderman for the City of London, representing the Cordwainer Ward. He actively supports Londons local economy and serves on the Investment Committee for Christs Hospital, a charitable school, reflecting a strong dedication to his community.
