Allison Bennett Irion is the Director of Supply Chain Research at Argonne National Laboratory, leveraging over 20 years of experience from the DOE complex and military. A graduate of MIT, she specializes in improving the resilience and security of U. S. supply chains for critical materials, energy, and national security.
Outside of her primary role, she is a Commander in the U. S. Navy Reserve and a licensed U. S. Merchant Marine officer. For over a decade, she has been a member of the Junior League, holding leadership positions to address womens poverty and literacy issues in her community.
In an interview, she shared that if she could have any other job, she would visit a friend in Antarctica to see the happy penguins.
