An MBA from UC Berkeley Haas and an Industrial Engineer, he is a passionate entrepreneur focused on creating new products and movements to empower people with disabilities to explore the world without limits.
His personal mission is fueled by a car accident at age 18 that left him paralyzed. A disability advocate and public speaker, Alvaro is an avid adventurer who enjoys hand cycling, kayaking, and trekking. Before his accident, he played on Chiles under-19 national rugby team.
Interesting fact: Alvaro became the first person to complete the rugged W Trek in Patagonias Torres del Paine National Park in a wheelchair, which inspired him to start his company.
