Amanda Foote

Amanda Foote is the Vice President of R&D Portfolio Strategy and External Collaborations at Akebia Therapeutics. Leveraging her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island, she has progressed through roles in medical affairs and clinical development to lead the companys R&D pipeline strategy.

Amanda serves on the Board of Advisors for the National Kidney Foundation, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient advocacy in the renal field. She also has roots in community healthcare, having previously worked as a pharmacist at a third-generation family-owned apothecary.

For nearly a decade, she worked part-time as a compounding pharmacist at a family pharmacy.
