Andreas Liegenfeld

Andreas Liegenfeld is a prominent vintner and the owner of Weingut Liegenfeld. Beyond his winery, he holds significant regional influence as Chairman of the Social Insurance for the Self-Employed (SVS) in Burgenland and as a supervisory board member for Burgenland Holding, Burgenland Tourism, and the Austrian Hail Insurance.

Deeply rooted in his home region, Andreas Liegenfeld is married and has four children. His long-standing commitment to his community is demonstrated by his political engagement, which began in 1980 and included serving as a local councilor in his hometown of Donnerskirchen before his governmental roles.

A former State Councilor for Agriculture for Burgenland (2011-2015), he has directly shaped the regions agricultural, environmental, and water management policies.
