Andrew Robert Williams

Andrew is a PhD student at Mila and a Visiting Researcher at ServiceNow Research, focusing on deep learning foundation models from a systems perspective. His recent work involves time-series forecasting where textual context is key. He holds an MSc in Quantum Computing x Machine Learning from Université de Montréal and a BSc in Mathematics/Economics.

His interests span the intersection of AI with climate change, education, and social good, having previously interned in Yoshua Bengios lab on AI for social applications. He also has backburner interests in economics and quantum computing, reflecting his diverse academic background.

Unique fact: Andrew was part of a team that won 1st place at Pharmahacks 2019, a 3-day hackathon focused on solving complex biomedical problems.
