Originally from a village in Goa, Ashwin is deeply passionate about giving back to his community. He founded the PACT Foundation to support underprivileged Goan youth in accessing higher education. In a recent interview, he mentioned he has a passion for learning Arabic to better connect with the regions he serves.
He was instrumental in establishing QS I-GAUGE, Indias first nationwide higher education rating system, and recently met with the President of the UAE to honor Khalifa Universitys ranking success.
