Beidi Chen

Beidi Chen is an Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon University and an Amazon Scholar specializing in efficient machine learning. Holding a Ph. D. from Rice University, her research focuses on designing algorithms and models on modern hardware to accelerate large-scale AI systems, with a particular emphasis on efficient large language models.

Beidi is passionate about mentoring students and early-career researchers, citing it as a primary motivation for her career in academia. She values the freedom to explore novel research directions and actively fosters collaboration between academic research and industrial partners to solve tangible, real-world problems.
