Bhavya Kailkhura is a Senior Principal Research Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, leading a portfolio on safe and trustworthy AI for national security applications. A Ph. D. graduate from Syracuse University, his work has supported major breakthroughs, including LLNLs historic fusion ignition, and earned him multiple awards for his influential research.
Motivated by challenges he observed growing up in a remote Himalayan region, he developed a passion for using science and technology to solve real-world problems. This drive led him to invent solutions for clean water and energy, eventually meeting Indias then-President, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, which reinforced his path.
He was selected as a Global Young Leader to attend the STS Forum in Kyoto, where he met twelve Nobel Prize winners.
