Bill McCready

William "Bill" McCready was the Chief Refrigeration Engineer at Norpac Foods for 49 years, overseeing critical systems for food processing and storage. He attended Oregon State University and Chemeketa Community College and showed a keen interest in adopting energy-saving technologies like Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in his facilities.

Outside of his extensive career, Bill was deeply committed to his community in Scio, Oregon. He served on the local school board for over 23 years, was a foster parent, a Scout Master, and a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing.

He was highly active in civic life, serving as a Reserve Officer for the Stayton and Linn County Deputy Sherriff.
