Brad Rundquist is the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of North Dakota, where he has been a faculty member since 2000. His expertise is in remote sensing, GIS applications, and physical geography, and he holds a Ph. D. from Kansas State University.
His academic path began with a Bachelors in Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he also minored in geography, biology, and Latin. Before his long tenure in academia, he worked as a newspaper reporter and editor, and as a scientist for Lockheed Martin at the Johnson Space Center.
He once started university with the goal of becoming a doctor before pivoting to journalism and, ultimately, a distinguished career in geography.
