Cathy Rayburn

Cathy Rayburn had a distinguished career in science, transitioning from a role at NASA during the Gemini Program to medical research. A University of Florida graduate, she worked at several institutions including the University of Florida Medical School and Baylor University, authoring numerous papers for scientific journals.

Outside of her scientific work, Cathy was a dedicated writer and a 35-year member of the Cape Canaveral Pen Women. She co-authored the book "Angels in the Bible" and collaborated with her mother, Elaine Murray Stone, editing several of her books.

Her first job was with NASA, where she typed the official countdowns for the Gemini space program.
