Peter is a Chartered Engineer and the Chief Executive (Clerk) of the Worshipful Company of Engineers. A Royal Navy veteran, he was formerly the Head of Interoperability & Rail Vehicle Engineering at the Office of Rail and Road. Colleagues describe him as a professional, a good leader, and an excellent engineer.
Outside of his engineering career, Peter is a passionate advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion. He co-founded InterEngineering, an LGBT network for the industry, and enjoys volunteering as a lock keeper for the Canal & River Trust. His early interests included rowing and sailing.
He has successfully combined two distinct careers as a railway engineer and a regular and reserve officer in the Royal Navy.
