Chantelle de Jonge serves as the MLA for Chestermere-Strathmore and the Parliamentary Secretary for Affordability and Utilities. A graduate of the University of Calgary with a degree in economics and philosophy, she previously worked as a registered dental assistant and president of her professional association before entering politics.
Born and raised on a farm in southern Alberta, Chantelle is deeply committed to community service, dedicating her time to volunteering both locally and abroad for organizations like Faith Beyond Belief and a home for street children in Tanzania. Her Dutch heritage and family history are personally significant to her.
As a first-generation Canadian, she won the prestigious Professor Z. M. Kubinski Prize in Economics for her research on Canadian economic issues while at university.
