Dr. David Andrews is the Chancellor of UMass Global and a lifelong educator dedicated to improving access to higher education. He previously served as President of National University and Dean of the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University. He holds a Ph. D. in Child Development from Florida State University.
His career has focused on enhancing educational opportunities for non-traditional students and at-risk youth. A first-generation college graduate himself, he is passionate about creating flexible, student-centric learning models that support working adults and diverse learners in achieving their academic and career goals.
His scholarly work focuses on intervening in the life course of high-risk and difficult-to-serve students.
