David Ayliffe is Of Counsel at Baker Donelson, specializing in federal litigation, with a focus on energy, environmental, and employment law. He draws upon two decades of experience as in-house counsel for a large utility, where he directed all litigation activities. He earned his law degree from The University of Memphis.
Beyond his legal career, David has an academic background in German Language and Literature from Marburg University and a B. A. in History and German from the University of Tennessee. He is an active community member, having participated in Leadership Knoxville and serving as an elder at his church.
Before pursuing law, David served as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps.
