Dawn Averitt is a strategist and founder who has been a leader in global health and HIV/AIDS advocacy for over three decades. After a Presidential appointment to the Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, she now consults for public and private sector clients, leveraging her experience building organizations like The Well Project to effect systemic change.
Outside of her extensive advocacy work, Dawn is an adventurer who has hiked the entire Appalachian Trail. She lives on a farm in Vermont with her wife and their three daughters, balancing her global commitments with family life and a passion for travel and exploration.
Diagnosed with HIV in 1988 at the age of 19, she transformed her personal journey into a global mission, becoming a leading voice for women with HIV.
