Eric Hayden is the Director of Technology & Innovation for the City of Tampa, where he has served since 1986. With an MBA from Saint Leo University, his expertise includes disaster recovery, large-scale systems, and IT security. He was a finalist for the 2026 Florida ORBIE Awards for his outstanding technology leadership.
Outside of his government role, Eric has an early background in visual storytelling and is a talented artist, working with pencil and charcoal. He has illustrated his wifes poetry for family milestones, blending his artistic skills with his personal life. He won a National Scholastic Gold medal for mixed media art in high school.
