Dr. Giang Nguyen is the Associate Provost for Campus Health & Wellbeing and Executive Director of Harvard University Health Services. With a background in family medicine and public health from Johns Hopkins and UPenn, his career is dedicated to enhancing college health, focusing on health equity for immigrant, Asian, and LGBTQ+ communities.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, he came to the U.S. as a refugee. His personal experiences have fueled his professional commitment to community health and outreach. A passionate singer, he was previously a member of the Philadelphia Gay Mens Chorus and enjoys attending theater performances in Cambridge.
He once performed as a backup singer for Hugh Jackman and as an opening act for Joan Rivers.
