Greg Desjarlais

Greg Desjarlais is the multi-term Chief of Frog Lake First Nation and Grand Chief of the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations. With over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry before entering politics, he is a leading advocate for Indigenous economic sovereignty through major energy partnerships. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Blue Quills College.

Outside of his official duties, Greg is a passionate supporter of youth empowerment and an avid sports-minded individual, having coached Indigenous youth hockey teams. He is a husband, father of three, and grandfather of five, who draws on the cultural wisdom passed down from his parents and a family lineage of herbal medicine people.

He played an instrumental role in securing a $1. 12 billion Indigenous-led equity partnership in seven Enbridge oil sands pipelines, one of the largest of its kind.
