Greg Faulkner, FAIA, is the founder and principal of Faulkner Architects, a firm renowned for its carefully crafted, site-sensitive environments. His design ethos is rooted in responsiveness to context, drawing inspiration from a regions geology and vernacular. He previously worked as an aircraft design engineer, which informed his approach to structural clarity and material intelligence.
Outside of architecture, Greg developed a deep connection to the Sierra Nevada backcountry after moving west. This appreciation for the landscape shapes the respectful dialogue between his work and its natural context. He collaborated with celebrated architect Tom Kundig, a close friend, on the design of his own home in Martis Valley.
Interesting fact: In 2024, Greg was elevated to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) College of Fellows, the AIAs highest membership honor.
