He has produced music for artists like Beyoncé and Michael Jackson, and for films including "Dreamgirls" and the "Pitch Perfect" franchise. He attended the University of Arizona.
Outside of his extensive career in music, Harvey has a deep passion for basketball. He played Division I basketball at the University of Arizona on a scholarship, where his team, which included future NBA stars Steve Kerr and Sean Elliott, made it to the 1988 Final Four.
Interesting fact: Harvey wrote his first song, "Love Makes It Better, " for jazz artist Grover Washington Jr. at the age of eight.
