A native Atlantan, Hunter is married with three children. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys bird hunting with his English Cocker Spaniels, fishing, and camping in the Appalachian Mountains. He also occasionally plays golf and goes skiing, and his family is active in their church, the Cathedral of Christ the King.
