Born in London to Kosovo-Albanian parents and raised in Scotland, Ideja is passionate about making technology accessible. She founded the non-profit Based In Science to encourage youth in the Balkan region to pursue STEM and speaks at events supporting women in tech. She recently returned to Kosovo as a panelist for an AI conference.
Despite having a non-technical background in cell biology, she self-taught AI and founded a successful consultancy while still an undergraduate student.
