Jennifer Buckner is the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and a Professor of English at Gardner-Webb University. With a PhD from Old Dominion University, her expertise is in writing, rhetoric, new media, and soundwriting, and she has held several leadership roles, including Interim Dean and English Department Chair.
She has a passion for collaborative learning and mentorship, having co-authored a published book chapter on soundwriting with nine of her former students.
Her academic research includes a unique project with a deaf student to explore and interrogate how sound can be understood and composed by bodies that "speak with hands and hear with vibrations. "
