Joe Duran is a serial entrepreneur and visionary in wealth management, currently serving as Managing Partner at Rise Growth Partners. He previously founded United Capital, which he sold to Goldman Sachs where he became a Partner and Co-Head of Personal Wealth. He holds MBA degrees from both Columbia University and UC Berkeley, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Outside of work, Joe is a dedicated husband and a father to three daughters. Born in Spain and raised in Zimbabwe, he is a published author, a daily meditator, a longtime Yogi, and an avid beach volleyball player. He and his wife share a passion for travel, dining, dancing, and live music.
He immigrated to the United States from Zimbabwe at age 18 with only $200, started his career on minimum wage, and eventually sold his company, United Capital, to Goldman Sachs for $750 million.
