John Beirne Jr. is the Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Beirne Wealth Consulting, which he established after a long career at Merrill Lynch. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, he holds a CIMA® designation from the Wharton School and has completed executive studies at Stanford and Harvard, specializing in pension fund management.
Outside of finance, John is an avid golfer and a former board member of The First Tee of Connecticut. He is deeply involved in education, serving as a Trustee Emeritus at Hamden Hall Country Day School. He also enjoys traveling, reading, biking, and spending time with his family, residing in both Connecticut and Florida.
In 1978, he became the first broker in the U. S. to convince a public pension fund to use independent money managers.
