John Callahan

With over 40 years at Americas oldest brewery, John Callahan serves as the Plant Manager for D. G. Yuengling & Son. He advanced from entry-level roles by mastering the craft on the job, later earning a diploma from the Sieble Institute of Technology. He now oversees operations at two Pennsylvania facilities.

John is a Pottsville local who grew up near the brewery. His connection to the company is a family affair, as his wife and son are also employees. He is proud to create a product that he says makes people smile as much as "puppies and baseball. "

He got his start after being laid off from another job, joking he chose the brewery over the priesthood because there was "more money in beer than bingo. "
