John Finegan is the Founder and Board Chair of Beck Ag, an agricultural consulting firm he established in 1997. An alumnus of Penn States College of Agricultural Sciences, he pioneered a peer-to-peer learning model to accelerate technology adoption in the industry. He is known for building Beck Ag as one of the first virtual companies.
Beyond his entrepreneurial success, John is deeply committed to philanthropy and community service. After serving two years in the Peace Corps, he has founded or held leadership roles in numerous organizations focused on education and community, including the San Juan Education Foundation and Social Venture Partners. He also has over 12 years of youth sports coaching experience.
Inspired by his family, John intentionally built his company with a remote-first model to promote work-life balance and recruit top talent without relocation.
