Philip Taylor is a highly experienced art expert, now serving as a consultant and active partner at Gorringes after more than 45 years with the firm, having formerly been the Managing Partner. He is noted for his extensive knowledge across a wide range of departments and for driving the auction houses success since joining in 1981.

He has a keen personal interest in specific antique categories, including clocks, scientific instruments, and antiquarian books. Philip, along with his wife Sally, established a reputation for turning pre-sale viewings into key social and networking events within the Lewes community, where they have lived since 1981.

Unique fact: Philip was part of the original Antiques Roadshow team in 1978.
