John Wetmore is a highly respected attorney with nearly four decades of public service for the Town of Greenwich. He has held several key roles, including Town Attorney and Special Counsel, specializing in land use and zoning law. He holds a J. D. from the University of Bridgeport and recently retired in early 2024.
Outside of his legal career, John is deeply committed to his community. He served for 20 years with the Glenville Volunteer Fire Company, including as vice president. He was also honored as a Grand Marshal in the New York St. Patricks Day Parade, reflecting his community standing and interests.
To honor his 38 years of service, the Town of Greenwich officially designated January 31, 2024, as “John K. Wetmore Day. ”
