Joseph D'Amico

Joseph DAmico is the Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Montefiore Health System, where he oversees security for its extensive network. His current role follows a distinguished 35-year career in law enforcement, which culminated in his service as the 14th Superintendent of the New York State Police. He is a graduate of the Columbia University Police Management Institute.

Rooted in his extensive law enforcement background, he maintains a strong personal interest in the resolution of complex criminal cases. He publicly celebrates when justice is served for victims of long-unsolved crimes, reflecting a deep-seated passion for investigative work and its ultimate outcomes.

He once commanded more than 5,000 troopers and civilian staff as the head of the second-largest state police entity in the United States.
