Julia Stone

Julia Stone is the President & COO of The Kempe Foundation, an organization focused on the prevention and treatment of child abuse. She transitioned to the nonprofit sector after a long career in public accounting, where she was a Partner at RubinBrown LLP. She earned her BS from the University of Kentucky.

Outside of her professional life, Julia is a former collegiate athlete, having been a member of the Womens Swimming & Diving Team while at the University of Kentucky. This background suggests a disciplined and dedicated nature, now channeled into her philanthropic work.

She brings the rigor of a public accounting background to the leadership of a major child welfare foundation.
