She holds CISSP and GCIH certifications and has a background that spans cyber operations, threat intelligence, and risk management. She earned her Masters from Southern Illinois University.
Originally a historian with a Masters degree focused on museum administration, Kristi transitioned into cybersecurity after joining the Missouri Army National Guard. She served for eight years as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Officer and has also worked as an adjunct university instructor, developing and teaching cybersecurity courses.
Kristi was on track to get her doctorate in history when her National Guard commander suggested she try cybersecurity, completely changing her career path.
