Lisa Huebner is a Professor of Womens and Gender Studies at West Chester University, specializing in feminist sociology. With a Ph. D. from the University of Pittsburgh, her research focuses on intersectionality, care work, and power-based violence, informed by over two decades of experience in the field.
Outside of her direct academic duties, Lisa is deeply engaged in her community. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, applying her professional expertise to support vital local services and advocate for victims of intimate violence.
She recently spearheaded the launch of The Women’s and Gender Studies Collection, a free, open-license online resource for scholars and activists.
