Lukas Lichtl is the Head of Embedded Software at Tractive, where he leads the firmware organization for IoT products. His fascination with the interplay between electronics and software began in childhood and is supported by a unique dual education in engineering and the legal/business aspects of technology.
Outside of his leadership role, Lukas is passionate about low-level programming and finds the reverse engineering of software, including disassembly and decompilation, particularly fascinating. He prefers a Linux environment and is skilled with a variety of open-source development tools to stay close to the hardware.
He has co-authored academic articles on the legal classification criteria for unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
