Mark Franklin

Mark Franklin is the Founder of Emso Asset Management, a firm specializing in emerging markets. His extensive career began in international banking and included leading the emerging markets investment business as a Managing Director at Salomon Brothers. He earned his bachelors degree in Economics from Brown University.

Mark is actively involved in humanitarian causes, serving as an Ambassador for The HALO Trust, a non-profit dedicated to clearing landmines in post-conflict zones. He is also a Trustee of Tusk, a pan-African charitable trust focused on conservation, demonstrating a strong commitment to global philanthropic efforts.

He has worked and lived throughout Latin America, holding various positions in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico early in his career.
