Martin is the Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Vista Equity Partner’s Foundation Fund, focusing on mid-market enterprise software investments. An Economics major from George Mason University, he joined Vista in 2006 after a 13-year career at Microsoft, where he served as Chief of Staff to CEO Steve Ballmer.
Outside of work, Martin is passionate about creating opportunities for underrepresented communities, highlighted by his philanthropic support for The University of Texas at Austin. He serves on the Milken Institute’s DEI Council and enjoys traveling.
Unique fact: At Microsoft, he was responsible for the companys competitive strategy against Linux, where he created the well-known "Get the Facts" marketing campaign.
