Matthew is the President of UBCs Urban Planning Club, CAPACity, and a student of Urban Studies at the University of British Columbia. His experience includes internships at PCL Construction and Seaspan, and he recently completed a certification in Agentic Artificial Intelligence.
Passionate about creating sustainable and inclusive communities, Matthew actively fosters civic engagement. He leads his club in organizing events like design challenges and walking tours, and has represented the club on the Urbanism Vancouver podcast to contribute to broader discussions on city planning.
He participated in a joint UBC-National University of Singapore program, co-authoring a project on "blue-green urbanism" to improve city liveability.
