Matthew Lamarand

Matthew Lamarand is the Founder and Lead Trainer of Dogology University, leveraging his unique background as a U. S. Air Force veteran and former explosive detection K9 handler. An alumnus of Eastern Michigan University and a bestselling author, he applies principles of discipline and trust from his military experience to the civilian world.

His passion for the canine-human bond is deeply personal, stemming from his military service and his own experience with PTSD. He co-founded Dogology University with his wife, Ashleena, with a mission to support fellow veterans and train shelter dogs as companion animals.

Unique fact: Matthew served on a Secret Service detail for President Obamas security team as a K9 handler.
